Nick leads on our work supporting clients in their philanthropy and overseeing our Scotland-wide grantmaking programmes.

Nick moved to Scotland after completing his philosophy degree and began his career with a mobile art gallery touring exhibitions of contemporary art all over Scotland. He later worked in the Scottish Borders helping to develop and promote local events and festivals, before joining the Foundation in 2003. Based in Glasgow, Nick continues to be involved in voluntary arts groups as well as his local hockey team.

Originally from Torphins in Aberdeenshire, Helen moved to Glasgow in 1996 to attend Glasgow Caledonian University and joined the Foundation in September 2003.

Helen has a Masters in Grantmaking Philanthropy and Social Investment from the CASS Business School Centre for Charity Effectiveness.

As Client Services Manager Helen has responsibility for managing a portfolio of the Foundation's private clients, supporting client philanthropy planning and ensuring effective delivery of the grants programmes.

When not working, Helen enjoys, reading swimming and walking. In 2004, 2005 and 2011, Helen took part in the Caledonian Challenge to raise funds for the Scottish Community Foundation.

Annabel started her career in the museums sector where she worked for Museums Galleries Scotland co-ordinating the first ever national survey of museum and gallery collections. She then spent six years at the Heritage Lottery Fund where she was responsible for helping applicant organisations to develop their applications and ensure an equitable spread of funding across the country.

Annabel joined the Foundation in 2008 as a Grants Officer. She is an experienced grants assessor and has worked with a range of grant programmes and area-based funds. Annabel became part of the new Client Services Team in November 2011 and has responsibility for managing relationships with a number of donors and organisations.

Annabel works for the Foundation part-time and is based in our Edinburgh office.

Sian joined the Foundation in 2005 as a Development Officer supporting and developing the local panels established through the Big Lottery Fund Fair Share Trust programme. She subsequently became a Senior Grants Officer before joining the new Client Services Team.

Sian has a community development and grantmaking background and has previously worked for the Big Lottery Fund as a Grants Officer as well as in a variety of voluntary sector projects throughout Central Scotland. She has an Honours degree in Politics and Sociology and is a voluntary committee member of a Gaelic choir.
