Rachel joined the Foundation in April 2008 working as a Grants Officer for three years, contributing especially to the development and implementation of the Foundation’s community benefit work, enterprise grantmaking and delivery of community engagement programmes.
Her background in teaching, training, and community development has laid the basis for her interest in and commitment to facilitating change in communities. She has particular interest in evaluation, learning and impact. Rachel has worked with a diverse range of international, national and grassroots community organisations in the UK, Kenya, Palestine and most recently South Africa.
Rachel is based in the Foundation's Glasgow office. She is a keen runner, mother of three boys and Director of a local young people’s theatre company.

Carol Elliot joined the Foundation at the start of 2012 after working for The Highland Council as a Ward Manager and in a tenant participation role supporting many tenant and residents groups across the Highlands. Carol has an honours degree in Psychology and an HNC in Business Studies.
Carol has been a volunteer for Girlguiding for over 25 years and also edits and produces her community’s regular newsletter.
Carol was brought up in Caithness and has lived in Sutherland and Ross-shire, and having also worked in most corners of the Highland Council area understands the challenges of rural communities.
Carol is married and has one son and loves to travel across the pond whenever she gets the opportunity.

Margaret joined the team five years ago after 10 years working for East Ayrshire Council in a community development setting. Margaret has a degree in Sociology and Philosophy and a postgraduate in Community Education.
Margaret works with the Our Community Our Future Programme and supports the implementation of the Wind Farm Benefit Funds.
In non work time she enjoys running and yoga, going to sunny places (when she can) and raising her 2 boys!
