John joined the Events team in November 2007 and is responsible for the safe and successful delivery of the foundation’s portfolio of fundraising events.

John has 17 years international charity fundraising experience. He specialises in managing large-scale outdoor challenge events for companies and individuals having successfully delivered several in the UK and overseas. He has previously worked for Oxfam (in the UK, New Zealand and Ireland) and Age Concern England. John is a keen outdoor enthusiast, having led or participated in teams on expedition in Antarctica, Patagonia, Peru, the Kalahari, Kilimanjaro, Alaska, and the Alps.

Fraser has co-ordinated the Caledonian Challenge and aspects of the Caledonian 100 for the past few years on a freelance basis. He's now a full-time member of the team.

Over the last 18 years, Fraser has enjoyed many diverse, challenging and successful experiences in the planning and delivery of projects and events all over the world.

He has worked for clients in the private, public, voluntary and government sectors, including the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister, Department of Education, Scottish Parliament, BBC, Royal Bank of Scotland, GE Healthcare, Bosch/Siemens, Microsoft and the Spanish and Malaysian Tourist Boards.

Darren is our Fundraising Executive. He was previously at St Columba’s Hospice and is here to assist with all your fundraising questions and needs.

A native Edinburgh boy, Darren has wandered far and wide and worn a variety of hats; St Andrews Graduate, High School History Teacher, Civil Servant and Children's Book Expert. He is looking forward to helping you raise oodles of money for worthwhile causes throughout the country.

When asked why he enjoys working with the Caledonian Challenge team he says, "Obviously I love to see people raising money for some of the UK’s most isolated communities. BUT, when people raise the bar and push themselves to achieve something ‘above and beyond’, it is fantastic to see".

Kath has joined us as Relationship Development Executive from the Membership Team at Edinburgh Chamber of Commerce. Over her career she has worked within the leisure, hospitality and emergency services combining event organisation with sales, marketing and customer service.

Kath's a keen outdoor enthusiast and is looking forward to being part of the 2011 SCF Events.
