Hamish has a company secretarial role and runs the Finance function of the Foundation. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1992 after training in the offices of BDO Binder Hamlyn in Edinburgh. Subsequently he worked as a Management Accountant with Tayside Health Board in Dundee and then as Finance Manager at the Rowett Research Institute in Aberdeen. He joined SCF as Financial Controller in November 2002. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland and, just as importantly, The Scotch Malt Whisky Society.

Ken is responsible for the day-to-day financial requirements of the Foundation. He has worked in the voluntary sector for the last twelve years, joining the SCF in 2003. Before that he spent fifteen happy, if frugal years, as a self employed potter.

Fiona is covering as the Edinburgh Office Administrator whilst Helen Napier is on maternity leave. She initially came to the Foundation in 2010 as a volunteer for the Grants team.

Fiona moved to Scotland after graduating from the University of Nottingham in 2007 and has since volunteered for various voluntary organisations including Project Ability in Glasgow, and worked as a Supporter Care Assistant for Maggie’s Cancer Caring Centres.

Helen joined the Foundation in July 2008, having previously worked as a Project Administrator with Places for People Scotland Care & Support at their projects in St Leonards and East Craigs.

Helen graduated from the university of Edinburgh with an MA (Hons) in History and she is a keen and long-suffering supporter of Heart of Midlothian Football Club.
