Ros joined the Foundation as a Grants Officer in July 2005. Having first studied music and then secretarial studies with languages (Spanish and German) she came to community development by way of being a community activist in Edinburgh and a part time administration job with an Urban Aid project in the early 1990s.

She then went on to a development worker post with the Wester Hailes Representative Council where she was part of the team for 10 years. It is this experience of community development that brings her to the Foundation in a move from being a grantee to a granter.

In her spare time, Ros enjoys reading, silver-smithing and walking her dog. She also volunteers with the Relationships Scotland - Couple Counselling Central service.
