Welcome to the 2009 Scottish Community
This year’s edition celebrates sustainability, and highlights examples of how the Foundation continues to create connections between donors and Scotland’s charities and community groups.
Since its inception in 1996, the Foundation’s aim has been to raise the level of funding being distributed to the voluntary sector. It has consistently achieved this by engaging with new donors and organisations. The Foundation now has funding partnerships with 250 private donors, which is a solid base for further growth.
The Foundation plays a pivotal role in connecting the public, private and third sectors to enable innovative philanthropy in Scotland. This in turn allows the Foundation to award grants with impact, and support projects working towards self-sustainability.
I hope you enjoy the 2009 edition of the yearbook.
