Dunfermline Building Society

Dunfermline Building Society is inundated with requests for support from charities and community groups. By working with the Foundation they are able to pass all enquiries to us, and reduce their administration. When each letter arrives we can respond positively to the group, and it means the Dunfermline Building Society never has to say ‘no’! We also send them projects sourced through our community grants which fit the criteria of the fund.

Since 2005 grants have been awarded across Scotland, from Lerwick to Lanarkshire. We can ensure that funds are spread evenly. This complements the branch structure of the Building Society, as they can make grants to community groups where their customers and staff live and work. We make recommendations to the Society who then choose between projects. Each assessed project enables their staff to make equitable and effective decisions. Some of the projects supported have been showcased in Lifetimes magazine so all their members know about their commitment to the community.
