Charitable trust alternative

Many people think about setting up a private charitable trust, perhaps to support a cause close to their heart, or to remember a loved one.

The Scottish Community Foundation, however, offers an alternative that gives you complete control of your giving; matches your charitable aims to suitable projects, and takes care of all the paperwork. A Scottish Community Foundation fund is a cost effective and flexible solution, which allows you to:

• start a fund from as little as £1,000 a year
• select the projects and/or geographical area you would like to support
• choose the name your fund, for example, the Joe Bloggs Memorial Fund
• choose your level of involvement in your chosen project e.g. visits benefit from tax advantages
• have piece of mind that fund administration complies with charity regulations.
