Visiting projects

Michael Campbell at the Hub in Aberfeldy, a youth cafe supported by the Ellis Campbell Fund

One of the most fulfilling ways to understand how financial support would sustain and grow a charity is through a project visit.

You can visit before making your decision to support an organisation and you can also choose to follow-up, to see their achievements. The Foundation regularly organises visits, supporting you to find out more about a particular charity or community group, the challenges they face, the people leading the organisation and their plans.

We brief organisations in advance on the purpose of your visit and we also help you prepare, considering the best questions to ask. Visiting two or more projects working in the same area can illustrate different approaches to solving community problems, and we can then spend time with you afterwards, to review your visits and can provide further guidance.
