Small Grants: up to £1000

Please Note: The information on this page refers only to our general grants programme, Community Grants, and also the Women’s Fund for Scotland. (But note that the last deadline for the Women’s Fund was 14 Dec 07 and is currently closed to applications.)

Some of the local funds we manage also have ‘Small Grants’ streams, but these will have different criteria and/or deadlines and applications should be submitted on the specific application form for those funds, which will be available on the relevant page on this website. See ‘Our Current Grants Programmes’ for details of all our funds and programmes.

Small Grants are one off sums of up to £1,000, available to constituted community groups and charities. For more information about what we can fund, see ‘Our Current Grants Programmes’. There are tick-boxes on the application form to indicate which programme you are applying to.

We aim to give you a decision on your small grant application within 6 weeks of receipt.  Please apply at least 6 weeks before your project needs to start.

Small Grant applications are assessed individually by our Grants Officers and are then presented to a Small Grants Panel which meets regularly to make decisions.

For more information about what happens once you’ve applied, click on ‘What is the Process?

You can download an application form and guidelines above right.

Please ensure you have read the information about the programme you are applying to before completing the form. (See Our Current Grant Programmes) Please also carefully read the guidelines for completing the form to make sure that you give us all the information we require, and make sure you send us any supporting documents requested.

In future, we hope to introduce the option of applying on-line through this website, however at present application forms must be printed out, signed and posted to our Glasgow office: Scottish Community Foundation, Suite 3.4, Turnberry House, 175 West George Street, Glasgow G2 2LB.
