Becoming an assessor
The Foundation welcomes interest from people anywhere in Scotland about the role of assessor. It’s a rewarding experience, for the assessor and the projects supported through their role.
To be eligible you would need knowledge and experience of community development, enterprise or social welfare issues in Scotland. You may have gained this through your own career or through voluntary activities. You would require strong communication skills and also be numerate, with sufficient ability to scrutinise a project budget, although you would not need accountancy skills. You may have experience of running community-based projects and understand at first hand the challenges which community and voluntary organisations face, including fundraising.
Our expectation is that you would volunteer for an average 2.5 hours per week to undertake assessments on a reasonably regular basis, with allowances for holidays or other temporary commitments, of course.
Please download the factsheet for more information and contact Jennifer McPhail if you would like to discuss this opportunity further on 0141 225 6672 or jennifer@scottishcf.org
