Falck Renewables' Earlsburn Community Fund

Welcome to the Falck Renewables' Earlsburn community page. Here you can find out how local people are using the fund to make positive changes in the community council areas of Carron Valley & District, Cambusbarron and Denny & District community council a

How the fund works
The Scottish Community Foundation was appointed by Falck Renewables to administer the Earlsburn Community Fund. £35,000 will be available annually, rising in line with inflation and contributions will be made for 25 years (from 2007). Currently, the advisory panel has agreed that the fund will be distributed as follows:

Denny & District 45%
Carron Valley & District 45%
Cambusbarron 10%

The Foundation will process applications to the fund, and a local advisory panel - made up of local residents and representatives from the community councils - will decide how the grants are to be awarded.

The panel
The advisory panel is ideally made up of six representatives, two from each of the three community council areas. The current members of the Earlsburn Advisory Panel are:

Colin Belbin, Denny, Dunipace and District Community Council
John Bisset, Carron Valley and District Community Council
Ann Finlayson, Cambusbarron Community Council
Kathleen Davidson, Cambusbarron Community Council

There is currently a vacancy for a panel member from the Denny, Dunipace and District area. If you’re interested in joining, please contact your local community council

Joining the panel
The members all agree to a term of between one and three years. The first changeover happened in 2010 with one of each of the Community Council’s representatives standing down and new members joining.
