Booby Birds Fund

Background

The Booby Birds grew out of a harrowing conversation between two friends as one shared the news that, at 53, she had been diagnosed with breast cancer. Wanting to support her friend, Tina Korup identified her own biggest fear – jumping out of a plane – and set up a fund-raising event where 19 “Booby Birds” and a “Booby Bloke” jumped to raise money for cancer charities.

Purpose

The Booby Birds Fund is used to support voluntary organisations and charities working in the field of breast cancer in Scotland.
