Sportsman's Charity Fund
The Sportsman's Charity was founded in 1983 by David MacLean and John Frame, who wished to help provide opportunities for others which they themselves, as sportsmen, had enjoyed in all fields. Experts in organising fund-raising events, the Sportsman’s Charity has a very successful track record in generating monies to be distributed to charity. Working in partnership with the Scottish Community Foundation, the Sportsman’s Charity directors use our services to identify projects that meet their criteria.
Grants are made to voluntary organisations and charities which assist disadvantaged families, most particularly where children are involved. Charities which are involved in the promotion of disabled sport project or have an emphasis on young people are also supported.
Part of this fund is managed as part of the Community Grants Programme. {sitelink node='512' text='Click here to apply for a Community Grant.'
