Women's Fund for Scotland

The Women’s Fund for Scotland (WFS) is dedicated to improving the lives of women and girls across Scotland.

The Women's Fund for Scotland raises money from individuals and organisations, which is then distributed through grants to charities and community groups working with and for women.

Since its launch in 2002, the fund has been supported with funding from the Scottish Government Equalities Unit and has awarded more than one million pounds in grants to over 500 projects, supporting the development, self-sufficiency, and economic and social equality of Scotland’s women.

Grants of up to £5,000 are available for a wide variety of costs and projects, including assistance with the costs of holding events to mark International Women’s Day in March each year.

To find out more, download the Women’s Fund for Scotland information sheet at the top right of this page.

To receive a grant from the Women’s Fund for Scotland, you should apply to the Foundation’s general Community Grants programme, which has two categories of grant:

• Express Grants, awards of £250 to £2,000
• Main Grants, awards of £2,000 to £5,000

Suitable applications will be awarded a grant from the Women’s Fund, subject to availability. Alternatively, we may be able to fund your application from another of our funds.
