Sport Relief Community Cash Bonanza

Thu 19 Jan 2012

The Sport Relief Community Cash scheme is available to community groups based in Glasgow, Edinburgh and the Lothians which have an income of less than £100,000 (in the last financial year) to apply for grants between £500 and £1,000.

We will prioritise applications to benefit those who are most disadvantaged, either because of where they live, or because they come from a group that is considered vulnerable. We want to fund projects that:

• reach out to people that are isolated or excluded from local opportunities
• help bring together people within communities, breaking down barriers and building and strengthening relationships
• help local people take more responsibility for their community, and their environment.
• We will consider one-off activities as long as they can clearly demonstrate the longer-term benefit.

The Scottish Community Foundation is administering the programme in partnership with Comic Relief and Glasgow Evening Times and Edinburgh Evening News.

The deadline for applications is Friday 16th March 2012.
Grants will be announced in the week commencing 23rd April 2012.
