Grants for Women's Projects

During 2010/11, the Foundation distributed over £400,000 specifically to projects run by or for women. Most of this money comes from the Women’s Fund for Scotland and The VOLANT Charitable Trust.

Eligible groups can apply for grants between £2,000 and £5,000 that meet the aim of the Women’s Fund for Scotland "to support projects that enable women to be better able to cope with the effects of the economic downturn and to make changes that enable them to turn their lives around with a particular focus on increasing women’s employability". For examples of the types of activities the fund will consider, please download the Fact Sheet below.

How to apply

The Women's Fund for Scotland programme is currently closed for applications.

We are sometimes also able to make awards of up to £10,000/year for up to 3 years to projects that meet the criteria of The VOLANT Charitable Trust Fund. See The VOLANT Charitable Trust Fund page for more details of how to apply.
